What reconstitution means
Some medications are more stable as a dry powder than as a liquid, so they’re shipped freeze-dried and mixed into solution only when it’s time to use them. That mixing step is reconstitution: adding a measured amount of sterile liquid to the powder so the drug dissolves into an injectable form.
