Privacy policy

We value and respect your privacy and your data. Please read this policy before using GLP Index.

Effective July 17, 2026. Last updated July 17, 2026.

GLP Index ("GLP Index", "we", "us", or "our") operates the glpindex.com website, including its guides, reviews, calculators, and other free tools (together, the "Site").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the Site, and the choices you have associated with that data. GLP Index is an informational site: there are no accounts to create, nothing to buy from us, and no health records to hand over. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Definitions

  • Site is the glpindex.com website and its free tools, operated by GLP Index.
  • Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from that data (or from that data and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
  • Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by your use of the Site or from the Site infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
  • Cookies are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).

Information collection and use

We collect far less than most websites, because the Site doesn't need much to work. Here is what we do — and don't — collect.

Calculator and quiz inputs

Our free tools — including dose, weight loss, and protein calculators, and the provider match quiz — run entirely in your browser. The numbers and answers you enter are used only to show you a result on the page. They are never transmitted to our servers, stored, or shared with anyone. Close the page and they're gone.

Information you provide

If you contact us — for example by email — we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond to you.

Usage Data

We may collect information on how the Site is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages of the Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data. This data is aggregate and is used to understand which content is useful and to keep the Site fast and secure.

Tracking & cookies data

We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand activity on the Site — for example, analytics cookies that tell us which pages are read most. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The Site's content and tools work without cookies.

Affiliate links

Some links on the Site are affiliate links to third-party providers and brands. When you click one, the destination URL may include a referral code that tells the partner the visit came from GLP Index. This code does not identify you personally and does not give us access to anything you do on the partner's site. Once you leave the Site, the partner's own privacy policy governs any information you provide to them — including any health information you share during a consultation or sign-up. Read our affiliate disclosure for how we make money.

Use of data

GLP Index uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Site
  • To respond to your questions and feedback
  • To understand which guides, reviews, and tools are useful so we can improve them
  • To monitor the usage of the Site
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising profiles.

Legal basis for processing under the GDPR

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this policy depends on the data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it. We may process your Personal Data because:

  • You have given us permission to do so — for example, by contacting us
  • The processing is in our legitimate interests — such as operating, securing, and improving the Site — and is not overridden by your rights
  • We need to comply with the law

Retention of data

We retain Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy — for correspondence, that generally means as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. We retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes; it is generally kept for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen the security or improve the functionality of the Site, or where we are legally obligated to retain it longer.

Transfer of data

Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. GLP Index is operated from the United States; if you access the Site from elsewhere, your data — including Usage Data — is processed in the United States. We will take the steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

Disclosure of data

Business transaction

If GLP Index is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of GLP Index
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Site
  • Protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public
  • Protect against legal liability

Security of data

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The best protection on this Site is structural: our tools keep your inputs in your browser, so there is very little to secure in the first place.

Our policy on "Do Not Track" signals under CalOPPA

We do not respond to Do Not Track ("DNT") signals. Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.

Your data protection rights under the GDPR

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. In certain circumstances, you have the following rights:

  • The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
  • The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
  • The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
  • The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.
  • The right to withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where we relied on your consent to process your personal information.

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. You also have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data.

Service providers

We employ a small number of third-party companies to operate the Site. These providers have access to data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

  • Vercel is used for hosting and content delivery. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • We may use third-party analytics providers to monitor and analyze use of the Site. You can typically opt out of analytics tracking through your browser settings or the provider's opt-out tools.

Links to other sites

The Site links to third-party websites, including telehealth providers, pharmacies, and supplement brands. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that party's site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit — especially before sharing health information with a provider. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's privacy

The Site does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"), and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove that information.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date at the top. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes; changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
